We were just driving through the area and staying at a local campground. On our way to the package store, we saw signs for this winery. We've been to 5 or so wineries in PA and to be honest we were not impressed at all. Living in WA, OR, CA we have been to all of the popular and not so popular wine regions (Napa, Willamette, Columbia Valley, etc..). We were not expecting much but the winery itself was very cute and such a beautiful setting. Then we were blown away with how good the wine is! The Pinot was honestly better than quite a few we had in Willamette. The Cab Franc continued to impress, and so did the Merlot and the Cab Sauv. This winery single handedly changed opinion that wine in PA can be GOOD. We tried the reds, and they were not sweet, they were dry and very balanced yet had structure on the finish like a good wine should. I got to meet Dana who owns the winery with Richard, and she was so down to earth and wonderful that I wished...
Read moreIt’s an ok place. There on a Friday I believe. They had music. It was good. Disappointed the wine is served in plastic. Terrible for a vineyard, I don’t care what spin you put on it. Should be a glass wine class. Period! So tried to purchase some. Only cheap ugly tie dye appearing rubber cups for sale. And not cheap. Ridiculous how much they were. Not classy. Then no indoor restroom facilities. Only port o Johns. Not classy. Maybe restrooms inside which access was blocked to for whatever reason. Wine was good. Food truck looked good.
Didn’t like the feel of the location. Feels like you’re in a residential development. And the property feels like the backyard of a residence. Way too small.
Overall if you’re looking for a small place without much class but a good time. Probably good for you.
If your looking for a romantic place to take a date....
Read moreThis is a small beautifully organized vineyard with a lovely selection of wines. The choose 4 sampling is a very reasonable $10. You can bring your own food, crackers and cheese(or lunch) and they have some yummy cheese for sale. Seating is outdoors. We had a gorgeous day to sit on the hillside. They do everything right here grow grapes, pick and process, bottle and label. There's only a few homes up here so you feel like you're getting away. I loved the Frontenac Gris and enjoyed the Chardonnay. They had a food truck that was setting up for a Halloween party that evening, along with live music! It was quiet when we were there at 3, but I bet it's a...
