Snake River Heritage Center — Attraction in Weiser

This is a real Jewel of a museum. There's a surprising amount of stuff that ties the area, specifically Weiser Idaho into The greater area.

Everything from local groups, to the local military chapters that were prominent in the area, the technologies, there's a room for phone switchboards. And even the arcane, such as a history about some of the Masonic offshoots.

The people greet you are knowledgeable and also willing to let you roam around. Worth visiting! Please...

Absolutely lovely. Exhibits were thoughtfully arranged and maintained. We showed up on our way home, called the number on the door, and a volunteer was there in minutes. She gave us water, told us the history of the old building, and then went to ALL THREE FLOORS to open windows and turn fans on so we wouldn't be too hot. (And there is a basement too!) This is one of the places I spent a lot of my childhood, whether that was during symphony rehearsals in the auditorium or voice lessons in either the tea room, ball room or the auditorium. Lots of cool stuff, and I know this place like the back of my hand. Never gets old to go explore, and I will forever love this place.
