It was so peaceful, sitting by the lake in my chair fishing, dog laying by my side covered up. Behind me, wildlife approaches crunching the fallen autumn leaves with every step. Tried to see what it was without moving too much, didn't see what it was, buy the crunching continued on and off. Then I hear a buck calling his mate... The call that seemingly was answering sounded a lot different, but was so cool just to listen too. I love going to Busch Wildlife for experiences like those. Another time, bobber fishing, I got to see a beaver swim less than 20 feet from what I was sitting... So awesome! There is not another activity I would rather do! In one of the pictures, I caught a turtle and the hound that's it was cool. When it ran into the water she went wading in trying to save it from the water. In the picture, after the muck settled in the water, the turtle was right underneath where she...

Hiking is good, archery range is good, the fishing has hit the bottom. The fishing catch has consistently plummeted drastically over the last 4 years. I frequent this place along with several friends and the harvest has drastically fallen since 2017 when the last time any of us caught over 10 keepers in one day. Now, lucky to get 1 keeper per day. What is going on?! If their is a contamination or a fish stocking problem/shortage then post a "NOTICE TO ANGLERS" sign or something. My daughter is turning 5 this spring. Looks like I have to take her somewhere else to teach her about fishing where she can catch fish. Yay conservation dollars at work... and why the heck is going on at lake 8? Dog trainer said they got it shut down so they could...

This place is great. There are over twenty five thirty lakes that you can fish at relax at and enjoy family time. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a hunting area. There was biking and hiking trails, as well as an archery place. This has restrooms at some of the lakes and picnic tables and lots of fishing to be had. I spent 2-3 hours here in an evening, and then about four hours the following morning, and there is something for everyone. The wildlife, it's amazing whether you're looking for birds or deer or ducks. The flowers were beautiful and vibrant. The leaves are starting to change. And it's just a really beautiful, quiet place to...
