It's a great little city, Lake, but it has some weird rules. You should read before you set up your campsite. Not every camp site has a table, and you have to share a fire pit. We did ask for a picnic table, and they brought us one, so that was nice. The private restrooms are nice, but the other ones are a little outdated and old looking. The camper pads have a small rock area, and they need to have a driveway. So you don't have to backup into the mud if it's rainy. Not every campground is situated the same. You can also pay for a month at a time, and a lot of people did and just left their campers out there, so it was kind of hard to. Find a spot for a couple of weeks or even the weekend.

We totally loved this place, absolutely beautiful. Full of fun things to do: fishing, swimming, boating, jetskis, playground, camping, restrooms/showers, gazebo with fire place, wheelchair accessible, friendly people all around visiting and staff. Just far enough out to get away for the weekend, but close enough to town if needing supplies. Definitely recommend this place!!

Trees in the campsites are overgrown, had to bring a pole saw to clean up a few campgrounds where my family and friends stayed. Unfriendly staff, primitive campgrounds don't get picked up so they're full of trash. The power hookups we had were out of date and had constant problems summer of 2022 and they still haven't been updated. It's an alright place to stay if YOU take care of it because the lake department...

Fish activity is turning on. The lake has a nice set up for primitive camping and that's what I usually opt for when camping as well as fishing. Seems well stocked and a nice variety of fish. I have caught channel cats, bluegill, largemouth bass, and crappie. Not sure if that's the full list of what is stocked but a nice variety if it is. Highly recommend this lake for anyone into camping...
