I don't even know where to begin with this review. :) For the last 17 years, my husband and I have travelled to some of the most beautiful and breathtaking places in the entire Pacific Northwest. We truly live in one of the most beautiful regions of the world. But......never ever have I actually cried when arriving to a place because I was so blown away by its beauty until this week arriving at Earthlight Villas. True story! And is it possible that this might be the most beautiful place ever to stay at?! I think so. There are a lot of brilliant things about this villa - the surrounding windows enhance the beauty and engulf you in the mesmerizing landscape. But what else is genius about this is when you're standing outside, you can't really see inside because of the window reflection so that is genius as far as having privacy. Also I have been to numerous hotels all over and I'll always find something not perfectly clean about it, but I cannot get over how spectacularly perfectly CLEAN Earthlight Villas is! Our entire villa (every inch of it) was immaculately clean! When we had a question about something our host Hans responded immediately and was SO amazingly helpful! He's the kind of guy you can tell really loves people and loves this place. His vision of making this happen is something that is priceless. Also, sitting in the hot tub staring at the beauty is so mesmerizing that words can't even describe it. Our whole stay felt timeless. We were constantly in a state of suspended disbelief at the beauty. The only downside is.....the ache you will feel in your heart knowing that you have to go home after this. Ha ha. But the exciting thing is you can look forward to planning your next return back. If heaven on earth exists it is HERE at Earthlight. The entire time we were here my husband and I couldn't stop verbalizing how we couldn't believe how beautiful it is here. We were blown away. It's places like this and memories like this that I truly believe people remember forever as one of the most memorable things they have ever done. Oh and if you like star gazing, this is THEE place to be at night. Since I live in the city I don't get to see the stars that often but the brilliance of it you will see at night is as breathtaking as the views during the day. This is hands down the most beautiful place we have ever stayed at and hands down the BEST most caring and attentive customer service ever! Thank you Hans and team! We will be back soon! I truly think everyone should experience these amazing, out of this...
Read moreEarthlight Villas ~ What a beautiful spot in the mountains!! We have always wanted to visit this stunning place & so happy we finally did! Highly recommend if you are looking for a romantic, quiet, getaway! We stayed in Villa 4 and chose that one specifically based on the way it faced the river (We are familiar with the area and so we wanted a certain view).
One thing we noticed about our villa specifically is that we could see villa 5 from our patio and so it did not feel as private as the other two villas (2 & 6) that have complete privacy with no one in your direct line of sight.
The kitchen came well equipped with necessary items you might need for cooking. One more baking sheet or pyrex would have been nice since only one is provided. Also, we did find out while there that the sink water is safe to drink but a couple water bottles would have been great to have as a complimentary gift upon our arrival.
It is noted that there is hiking nearby but all it seemed to be was forest roads and not really trails like we were assuming it would be.
I am someone who likes having activities near me, and the only thing about the location of the villas is that you are a far drive from any good restaurants or wineries. Lake Chelan and Wenatchee are both about a 55 minute drive. We did make that drive one of our nights there so we could enjoy dinner out and wine tasting. Doable, but not ideal! I would recommend planning to stay at your villa and not leave, convenience wise. Bring games/activities and all of the necessary food and drinks for your stay!
As you can see in our photos, our trip was during wildfire season and while it was a bummer that our views were not as clear as they could have been, it was still beautiful in it's own way!!
All in all, we would book again! Great experience! Would just do it a little...
Read moreMy partner, our two dogs, and I had an absolutely incredible stay at Earthlight Villas. Nestled atop a mountain overlooking the gorge, the views from the villa were simply breathtaking. The three walls of windows ensured that we could enjoy the spectacular landscape from every angle.
The jacuzzi was a highlight, especially during the cooler evenings, and was easy to operate. The villa's design provided just enough privacy from neighboring villas without feeling isolated. The reflective glass not only added a sense of privacy but also gently tinted the sunlight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere inside.
The fully functioning kitchen was a pleasant surprise, complete with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and tea kettle, along with all the necessary dishes and utensils. The stand-up shower and soaking tub were both amazing, with the soaking tub offering a large enough space for even a 6-foot man to relax comfortably while enjoying the spectacular outdoor view.
The space was thoughtfully designed for a couple's getaway, allowing us to truly disconnect from the world and enjoy the serene surroundings. We even had the pleasure of witnessing wild deer grazing along the hills.
Despite being away from the city, the villa had phenomenal wifi, which was great for streaming music or staying connected with family and friends.
Overall, our stay at Earthlight Villas was nothing short of magical. It was truly a dream come true, and we can't...
