Lincoln Rock State Park is a beautiful camping destination. The grounds are spacious, well-kept, and the location offers stunning views and plenty of amenities that make for a comfortable and enjoyable outdoor experience. Our group had six campsites, and we appreciated the roominess and the overall natural setting.
However, our experience with the facility staff was disappointing. The check-in process was long, disorganized, and lacked clear communication. Different staff members gave conflicting information, particularly about where vehicles could be parked. We were told initially that any registered vehicle could park at any of our group’s sites, but the next morning, we were told we had to move them to their individually assigned sites. The inconsistency was frustrating and avoidable.
Adding to the confusion, the check-in office had an odd decoration—a monkey hanging by a rope. It struck us as highly inappropriate and unsettling, especially as the first visual impression given to guests. Whether intended or not, it can easily send the wrong message, and in today’s world, we should not have to tolerate anything that can be interpreted as racist or offensive in a public facility.
Outside of the staff issues and questionable decor choices, the park itself is a fantastic place to camp. If management addressed the communication breakdowns and took a closer look at the kind of environment they're presenting to visitors, this could be one of the top camping spots...
Read moreWe stayed in a deluxe cabin, which was a lot nicer inside than the picture on their website show. The bunk beds could easily fit 4 adults but our kids slept on them. There's also a queen size futon. Bring sheets, blankets, and pillows. There's a kitchenette with a decent sized mini fridge, but it's the kind that doesn't have a freezer. There's also a sink with a sprayer, a microwave, and an indoor table with 6 chairs. Plenty of electrical outlets for charging devices and running water with a stall shower and toilet. There's good cell and data service if you don't feel like disconnecting. Check fire restrictions because when we went, wood and charcoal burning was prohibited so we couldn't use the fire pit or BBQ, we brought a gas cooker. There's a nice area behind the cabins for the kids to run around and play. Also the park itself is beautiful with lots to do, such as hiking, water activities, swimming, soccer, volleyball, baseball. There's a little concession stand that serves coffee drinks and sandwiches alongside having chilled canned/bottled drinks and chips and candy. My kids' favorite part was probably the huge playground structure. Also it's nice that the park is pretty close to Wenatchee, so if you need groceries or have an emergency, civilization isn't very far. We'll definitely be going...
Read moreMy family has been going to Lake Chelan state park for years, we have also stayed at the City park (which is nice) and at Entiat park(nice as well). I decided to shake it up a bit and try Lincoln Rock, after years of seeing the signs and add. I must say if you are looking for a top notch State park to stay in search no more. This park is green, it is spacious between campers, if you are lucky you can get one of the three (darn near) waterfront full hook up trailer spaces! It has all the accommodations for adult and kids alike, playground, tennis, basketball, docks, swimming, bikeriding, golf..... Okay no golf but you get the point. 2 points to cover now, a lot of people complain about this in most reviews all I have to say is "shut up" a lot of people complain about the sprinklers and when they come on & off. Ok people you are going to a desert type region..... Grass does not naturally grow like crazy in these areas..... You need lots of "what is that stuff that grass needs to grow... Uhmmmmmm? WATER. So if you don't like sprinklers, go to Southern Utah, if you like hot August heat and green grass go to Lincoln Rock state park😃...... Oh and the WATER is chilllllly, that's my only tiny complaint, don't worry park staff I won't ask you to heat...
