Music Mountain Theatre — Attraction in West Amwell Township

Nice looking theater, but unfortunately haven't seen a show here to comment on, but I'm sure they're great! I'm here to review on the childrens classes they offer. My daughter was excited to start some form of acting/theater as this was her first time attending any theater classes. We were recommended this place by one of her classmates at school who was also given a recommendation by another on FB. Bottomline, we weren't impressed. For me it was from the lack of communication by the staff, to the small waiting area, to the fact that there is no diversity amongst the children seen at the theater, nor a friendly face when entering the establishment, except from maybe a couple of parents (which doesn't count! ) According to my daughter, the tap dance teacher was probably the friendliest of them all, but she didn't care too much for the teacher she had in her class. Although their showcase told a different story and was entertaining, I wish for my daughter's sake they had encouraged her more in class and had her perform a solo to capture her talent (not being biased because she's my child, but she didn't feel like she was being challenged) but I realize the class was big so they couldn't get that many performances in, not sure. To summarize, I think may send her back in a couple of years when I've been exposed and explored other theater groups in the area. This was my first time attending a show. I have passed it numerous times the past few years wanting to stop in, so this is my chance. it's a new building, plenty of parking, handicap parking, large clean handicap accessible bathrooms, dividers at the register, very nicely decorated, very friendly staff as well as the performers. they don't allow pictures to be taken during performances but after the closing curtain they are willing to allow you to take pictures upon request. I was there for the holiday season music show which consisted of approximately 21 instruments, quite a few singers and a nicely decorated stage all of which made for a very enjoyable two plus hour event. Everything is on the first floor, double doors to enter the building to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. They put on plays, musicals, and holiday musical specials. I've been to many Broadway shows as well as Off Broadway shows up in New York this is my first in Lambertville New Jersey and I have to admit they do a fantastic job. I thank them ! after going to their website and checking out the 2022 schedule of performances, I look forward to returning. I think everyone should go and support this theater group, full of wonderful musicians, performers and support staff that all put on a great show.
