Mornings like this are what keep me coming back into the woods to film these walking videos. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s worth it for moments like these and worth it to share it all with you. #maine #getoutside #exploremore #nature

With the oddball weather we have been having a gorgeous weekend after a snow storm can’t be wasted. I headed to Hamilton Audubon Sanctuary in West Bath first thing. It was a great 3 miles of snow covered trees, nature, and ocean. Not another sole around until I was heading out of the parking lot. ☺️ #maine #fyp #snowshoeing #happieroutside #hamiltonaudubon #westbath

An excellent trail system that weaves its way around a pleasant, scenic landscape. There are field, forest, and coastal aspects to enjoy. Saw a variety of birds, plenty of red squirrels and chipmunks, a deer, and even a couple of turtles. Very little bitey bug activity (May 29). It's clear that a lot of work goes into maintaining the trails, and a darn fine job has been done with the large number of recently fallen trees. Options to take a short jaunt, or continue on the green trail for the extra mile loop. There's plenty of parking in the lot across the street, and restrooms are available and very...

I've only been here a couple times, but it's such a perfect trail system, well kept and quiet. A lovely walk on a beautiful spring day. Not much bird action today, but it would be fun if their pamphlet had a checklist and pics of birds you could tally as you went along. Saw white herons, blue jays, red squirrels, and an eagle overhead. Fun side quest: caretaker posted he lost his lawn clippers in the woods and I happened to find them, so it made it more of an adventure quest! Truly...

Went out geocaching on one of the warmer days recently, and I kind of underestimated how long the blue trail was. Luckily my 3yo is a trooper, and had a great time (the 1yo fell asleep on my back, lol).

We didn't venture on the green trail, so I'm not sure what they were like, but the blue was quite rooty, so I highly suggest wearing strong-soled shoes.

It's a beautiful spot, and I'm really looking forward to coming back (my only complaint is folks not following the "no...
