I highly recommend this summer camp for kids. After taking a wonderful tour earlier this year we sent our kids for a week and they LOVED IT. And that is no easy task for my tech tuned in kids. The difference here is the counselors are so attentive and the facilities are top notch for a farm camp. They were motivated to try anything and everything and it was a safe place to explore their boundaries. They do such a great job at building these kids up to their full potential and also nurture a true love for the beautiful nature around them on this stunning historic property. There are so many lovable animals on site along with a rustic pond, pool and farm experience. At the end of the week parents could come and enjoy the weeks awards, sights and feels of this true gem in the county. This has to be the best camp in the area and I figure there will be a wait list next year. I plan to take advantage of openings in August and look forward to hearing all the lovely stories my kids tell me. Like planting lilac and cilantro. After weeding of course. Exploring the hundreds of years old spring house, feeding the alpacas, guarding eggs and learning to fish and steer boats. That’s just a small sample of the week. I don’t know how this group does what they do but my kids loved it. And they’re new at it. There’s no where but up from here. I thank them for the awesome summer memories my girls...
Read moreThis is such a magical and special place. My daughter has been going to camp barnyard for the last few summers. She always comes back home with a full heart and big smile from camp Barnyard. Sugarbridge farm is the antidote for the anxious generation —- this a place where kids can be kids — there is so much love and care for the land, the animals, and the campers and counselors. It’s a place where one feels safe and good things are possible. Kids feel accepted and also feel a sense of purpose — these are the building blocks to a child’s emotional wellness. —beyond summer camps , I can envision west chester area schools offering field trips here to help kids get off screens, connect to the land, animals and to eachother— this is the sort of place where social emotional support is organic, effective and as I said an antidote the anxious generation. This my personal (parent) and...
Read moreI can’t say enough great things about Sugars Bridge Farm & Sharlene! We had the best time celebrating my daughter’s 3rd birthday there. The barn was clean, organized and had 2 extra staff members to help me set up the party once we arrived. Everyone was so helpful & welcoming right from the start. The kids (and adults) loved feeding the alpacas and playing with the ducklings in the kiddie pool. The ducklings were a HIT with the toddlers and they probably could have stayed there all day playing with them. The outdoor seating area was under a tent and they also had a fan running for us with the 95 degree heat wave. Sharlene was amazing to work with, communicated with me every step of the way. I would 100% recommend Sugars Bridge farm to anyone looking to have an “out of the box” birthday party with alpacas. It’s different, unique, and so fun! I can’t...
