Looking for a great place to hike, or just lose yourself in all of the stunning beauty of Mother Nature & her glorious gifts? Definitely head here, year round! Perfect spot for individuals, couples, or families to spend a morning, afternoon, or the full day, checking out trails & exploring all that these beautiful woods have to offer. Plentiful parking lot. Easy to find location. Lots of wildlife, including but not limited to frogs, turtles, beavers & more! Easy marked trails, that are covered in various colored paint on trees, clear signage for convenience, just don't forget to pack plenty of water or other cold beverages to avoid dehydration! A lovely place that's great for all ages & best of all, it's free to enjoy....

Nice pull off on your way towards the Quabbin, or light home in the afternoon. The rock house are the large boulders near the parking area, with a opening to pass through (with only one tight spot you need to crouch under)

The area continues with a trail that loops the pond. There is a good variety of mushrooms, and other forest fauna to be found along the trail. You’ll note many of the trees around the pond have had visits from beavers. At the height of the trail is a cabin overlooking the pond.

There are longer trails to take if you want to do...

Great trail network, some hikers could spend 6 hours here probably looking at everything, I've had numerous trips and I keep going back. If you're going to bring your dog, watch out for other off leash dogs. I want there to be some signs hung on the trail map posts and near the parking area that ask for leashed dogs only. I know the neighboring town of ware has a leash law. The woman I saw yesterday had her dog off leash, and she had no idea that it was a problem at all. All around great place to...

What an amazing place to go for a walk. It was so quiet. No trash anywhere to be seen. The trails were marked so well we had no problem navigating around. The cabin was so nice! Next time I will have to bring some lunch and take a nice lunch. The mosquito count was low. Barley saw any. I'm not sure if the close at all for the season. But i will definitely be going back! We spent about 3hours just walking around. Looking at the critters and awesome rock formations
