Mount Pisgah State Park is a beautiful park located in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. The park is home to Stephen Foster Lake, a popular spot for fishing, boating, and swimming. There is also a pavilion that can be rented for events, and the park offers a variety of hiking trails.

One of the best things about Mount Pisgah State Park is the views. From the top of the mountain, you can see for miles in every direction.

The lake is another great feature of the park. It is a small lake, but it is very peaceful and relaxing. There are plenty of places to fish, and the park rents kayaks and paddle boats. It freezes over in the winter and you can walk on it or go ice fishing.

The pavilion is a great place to have a picnic or an event. It is located right on the lake, and it has a beautiful view of the mountains. The park also has a number of tables and grills that are available for public use. There are also pavilions near the kids playground and pool.

The hiking trails at Mount Pisgah State Park are well-maintained. There are trails for hikers of all levels, from easy to strenuous.

Overall, Mount Pisgah State Park is a great place to spend a day outdoors. The park has something for everyone, from fishing and boating to hiking...

The Family & I come here more then once a week. It's about 45 minutes from we live but worth the drive. We have a cookout, swim, fish, kayak, walk the trails, play volleyball, etc. Most days we get here at 10 a.m. & stay until 8 p.m. It's true what they say "time flys by when your having fun!" Lifeguards are super friendly & helpful. As well as the Rangers! Their really big on safety which is a huge relief/deal to us! Restrooms are always clean, which now a days is hard to find at public pools! Food is reasonably priced & really good! We always recommend coming here! In fact our church now reserves a day for everyone in our community. Not to mention some family reunions have been held here too. There's plenty of space for everyone to enjoy a section of their own. Parking has never been an issue. They also have special events & activities throughout the entire year. Right now you can win a Kayak if you find ALL 8 "Where's Waldo's" & enter in the drawing. I use to love that game as a kid! Of course kids now days have no idea who Waldo is, let alone know what he looks like. 😆 Hope everyone enjoys their time here as much...

Pleasantly surprised to see at least some warning of ticks, however, nothing at the edge of tall grasses or the beginning and end of trails. There should be additional signage at the edge of tall grass reminding folks to stay out of tall grasses. At the beginning of trails to remind them to stay in the middle of trails and use repellent. Throughout the trails should be remonders to stay within the trails, and at the end another reminder to check for ticks immediately. At the restroom entrances there should also be remonders to check for ticks in areas not easily seen. The goal to beating a pandemic is prevention. #PersistantLymeDisease #preventioniskey The sooner a tick is removed the better chance of not contracting a TBD. Save any ticks found and send them in for testing, in Pa ticks found on peopel and pets can be sent to ticklab.org for FREE!

Do your part to stat tick free, and ask your park representatives to add additional signage to help prevent others from this...

Snakes? Bigfoot? 80 degrees in October? Today I am visiting Mount Pisgah State Park, located in Bradford County, Pennsylvania. The park sits at the base of Mt. Pisgah, which towers over Stephen Foster Lake at an elevation of 2,260 feet. I hiked the Mt. Pisgah Ridge Trail and extended my journey to the overlook section of Mount Pisgah County Park. That extra push to the overlook was absolutely worth it. As I approached the top of Mt. Pisgah, I was both confused and surprised to see a huge statue looking down on me. Did I first think it was Bigfoot… maybe! 😭 But I soon realized it was a statue of Oneida Chief Wetona, honoring his presence in this area. I learned about his history and even chatted with some locals about his legend in these mountains. In remembrance of his death, I sat peacefully at the overlook, taking in the same mountain views he once meditated within. It was an incredible bit of history I never would have discovered if my heart hadn’t told me to keep going. The trail itself was calm and quiet, with no one else in passing besides at the overlook (which you can also drive to). Along the way, I met a little friend 🐍, picked up some litter🤬, and soaked up some much-needed sunshine and vitamin D☀️ Be sure to follow along on my journey to see which State Park I visit next! #hiketok #hikingpa #outdooradventure #nativePA #visitpa
