I've traveled to plenty of wineries between RI and PA. This i will say is the first time I've had a horrible experience. I purchased tickets from Eventbrite, purchase too many instead of 1 ticket for for i purchases 4 tickets, spending $100. That was acknowledged as soon as I walked and immediately told by staff I couldn't get a refund. I reserved a time slot because the advertised event states do to COVID seating and those permitted in would be limited. When we arrived it was standing room only and it didn't look like anyone was turned away. Our waitress, who was amazing, when we sat down knew of the ticket error and stated thay that's happened before they can work with you to compensate for a bottle. When we got up to leave, I asked that if I could get a bottle instead, the young lady at the bar said no we don't do that. You can use your tickets again another time. Now explain to me with an experience like that why in the world would I want to come back?! As I walked away, knowing I would not purchase a thing from yout establishment, and I wanted to because your wines were good, I had to think to myself.... if we were a group of white women would I have gotten my money back? Being wr were the only African Americans in the place that is a thought I SHOULDNT HAVE...

Imagine a place with local wine created in purposeful batches modelled after exotic fruits, without any high pressure sales tactics, and scenery to relax! Thats exactly what you find here. Wines made with cranberries, blueberries, green apples, watermelon, etc. They come as sweet as youd like, and with a staff as kind as the summer rhode island sky is blue.
Great find, and an amazing experience accurately paint this winery. Ohhhh and you have to try the...

Very confusing for someone not from the area. This place charges $25 more than Big Johnβs. And I even asked the woman if I could use the coupon on the website which is not on Leydens Wine and nursery website but only Big Johnβs. She said βyes.β Do your due diligence and go down the street further to get the real deal Big John Leydens. An extra $25 might not seem much to them but for familes struggling from paycheck to paycheck it means a lot. No...
