We recently visited from out of State. This seems like it would have been a great place to visit. Unfortunately, it closed early the day we went to visit.

I am writing this review to allow other visitors an opportunity to avoid being forced to purchase a $25 whistle.

We arrived and found out we were unable tour. It was important for us to try and support the organization/mission while there regardless. I decided to purchase a couple of shirts. While I was checking out my grandsons were looking around and hanging out. They were playing with the plushies and whistles etc.

As the cashier was finishing ringing up my items, we heard a whistle. The cashier abruptly said, “you have to buy that.” I walked to the boys and they handed me the $25 whistles. I paid for the two whistles.

I looked around, I did not see any signage stating you would be charged for the whistles if blown. Also, the whistles are/were in a space that children can grab them.

It would be my suggestion, if customers are going to be charged if their children blow the whistle that there be signage stating such. There are many other ways to be more transparent about the rules (which are fair) or place the items out of reach. It could even be suggested that the whistles be placed in small plastic/ziplock jewelry bags to help avoid these situations.

My grandsons understand not to cause problems at stores. At times, toys are interactive and played with because of how they are displayed. This was a situation where two young boys did such and it cost $50. I have attached a photo of the $25(!) whistle. Hopefully, when you visit you may help your children avoid the whistles.

At the end of my visit, I spent over $100 (2 shirts and 2 whistles 😆) and did not experience the purpose...

Was looking forward to a beautiful day at Wolf Park. My daughter has been wanting to take me for a few years knowing my love for wolves. However, after a 2 1/2 hour drive, I still have not been able to see the park. I am handicap and working with a service dog in training. I’ve been having problems with hypoglycemia and she has been trained to alert to this condition so I can get help quickly. I’ve also been told I may have cancer again. I guess the first clue about lack of disability accessibility was when we pulled into the parking lot which only had one designated handicap parking space. We then proceeded into the building to be told my service dog could not come into the park. I asked what they expected because it was 84 outside and couldn’t leave her by herself in vehicle so I said I guess I’ll stay out in the vehicle with her while my kids hopefully enjoy the park. That seemed to be fine with management who told me she would refund cost of one ticket. She also said she didn’t think it would be good for my dog to go into the park because too much was happening and wouldn’t be good for her. I guess she doesn’t understand that’s what service dogs have to handle in order to be service dogs. She then asked for a certificate on service which she is not to ask. She is allowed to ask about her tasks but never did. My kids didn’t want to go without me since it was a gift for me. We were given a refund for the tickets but are still out 5 hours of driving and the gas to go and be told service dogs aren’t allowed. I was told the website says no dogs which I did not see. Regardless, this is not to apply to service animals. I love people want to save wolves but believe accommodations should be made for people with...

I absolutely loved Wolf Park. I went during one of the Howl Nights in July. First, I would suggest to get there a little early so you will have time to get your tickets and stop by for the Fox Talk which starts at 7:15. We got there around 7:00 and there was already a fairly sized crowd. During the fox talk, I was able to see two adorable foxes. The guide will talk for about 10-15 minutes before Howl Night starts, which will be in the bleachers to the right of the foxes.

Howl Night starts out with a host discussing about the current wolves they have at the facility. I was able to see 4 wolves during the talk. The wolves walked up and down the fencing during the talk, so you are able to watch them as she is telling you more about them.

In the middle of the talk, she will instruct everyone in the crowd to howl to get the wolves to howl along with you. This was a pretty fun part watching the wolves get worked up and howling along with us.

Later, two handlers came into the fenced area with the wolves and got them to do some tricks. The wolves were very friendly to the handlers and kept licking their faces. It was adorable.

Overall, I found it to be really interesting and enjoyed myself. For the most part, you are sitting there listening to the guide talk about the wolves and just observing the wolves. She got the crowd to howl about 3 times during the course of the hour.

The cost for Howl Night is $8 for adults. There is a gift shop you can visit afterwards and they have a pretty good selection of gifts at reasonable prices.

The only thing I would have done differently is to not have visited in July. Sitting in that hot humidity for an hour was pretty rough,...
