The location is great, really nice being near the water. People are able to swim and fish there. Nice walking trails. There is also a playground and basketball court. The above is 5 star worthy.
The reason for 2 stars is for the following. Parking is horrible, especially during baseball tournaments. The baseball fields are dangerous, foul balls entering the other field, while games are being played. In one tournament, three unsuspecting fans were hit by foul balls, two head shots, and one to the arm, as she covered her head. The walkways are very narrow between the bleachers and snack shack. The area between the two dugouts is small and like walking through an obstacle course when people put their chairs out to watch games on back to back fields. The bathrooms are neglected on the weekends and by Sunday are really getting gross. There was no hand soap in the women's bathroom this past weekend. Gross!!!!!
Overall, in my opinion, these fields are definitely not worthy of holding tournaments, let alone State...

It's a dream family park! At first glance, you'll spot the two baseball diamonds, but there's so much more. There's a basketball court, a top-notch playground with separate zones for big and little kids, a community garden, a pier for river fishing, and a wide, paved walk with educational meteorite displays. Most facilities are wheelchair-friendly, including the restrooms near the ball fields (though the playground isn't). There are two free parking areas, and dogs must be on leashes.
This park has it all—clean playgrounds, spotless bathrooms, gorgeous riverside trails, and scenic benches. The baseball/softball fields and community garden are the cherry on top. I'll definitely be back to this...
Read moreI'm giving this park 10 stars ya just can't see the others, lol. It has the ball fields, a decent size playground, the walking trails all around it, picnic tables and a basketball court. Bathrooms, and the grounds people do a GREAT job with keeping it all clean. I see a lot of kiddos and kids litter so I think parents, because they use this area a LOT- could teach the kiddos to be mindful of picking up their trash. Don't get bent parents but there can be too much trash all around after games and it's a park you use and like to enjoy. Water can move pretty swiftly and it seems to be a GREAT fishing place. And a long, long...long,long, LONG time ago a meteorite struct somewhere in the area and there's large informative boards with lots of pictures - would be a cool place for school field trips. All of the people I've ever seen there are friendly. Excellent place to...
