First time with kids, with bikes on the trails. We had an adventure of navigating the yellow trail. At one point you can go straight or you take the trail to the right and it's your first uphill; that hill is longer than expected and definitely not meant for a bike, going up or down. Correction only if you are a very experienced mountain biker could you handle this part of the trail going down. My point to all of this is the map at the beginning of the trails should give a ๐ for: bike or walking, experience level, and if they are more hills and rocks or both. It's a nice place to go for creek activities as well, and it's well maintained. We are going back, but walking will be how we will take the...

The orange trail on the other side of the overpass from the parking lot has a more difficult climb and crosses the creek about 5 times. I went in May and the water was high enough to make the creek crossings dicey (no bridges, just...

If you chain together all the main hiking loops you can get up to a 7-8 mile hike without retracing your steps. I'd definitely recommend waterproof boots (unless you're particularly agile and/or don't mind getting your feet wet); there are a number of water crossings where they come in handy (nothing too challenging though). Highlights were the pretty flower meadow and the dark & atmospheric...
