Sandy Point State Forest — Attraction in West Point

This is an excellent piece of land, preserved for our enjoyment. A great place to walk your dogs, stretch your legs and just enjoy being outside. Excellent trails for hiking and horseback. I ride with my horse. It's a lot of fine gravel so I suggest shoes, but can manage slower pace without. Lots of hunters is only negative. Has a nice covered picnic area overlooking the water for large groups. I don't know details...
