This place is so busy trying to make a name for themselves that they forgot what a pumpkin patch is all about, which is family and fun at a fair price. This place is charging 19.99 for full admission, pretty steep considering you could go to six flags for a little over 34.99.
My wife has been coming to this specific patch since she was a child and as a tradition we have been taking our child yearly but greed has changed it so much that itโs near unrecognizable now.
They have no activities unless you give them your money and the pumpkins and gourds can be anywhere between 3-7 times the price of just buying from a farmers market or regular grocery store. Which is exorbitant and greedy on their behalfโs, just like everything else here.
All of the above may be forgiven if they had entertaining attractions and venues, but once again they fall short. The food is more expensive then at a movie theater and is all grilled with yard waste from their compound.(They literally save their hardwood tree trimmings to cook with in October).
The ponies they provide and hire are mistreated to the point that they are anxious and dangerous and frequently will be seen bucking children. The pumpkin patch takes no responsibilities for the fact and simply tells you that, the ponies are from a separate and unaffiliated company(Armandoโs Ponies) and to contact them because they are not responsible.
Unfortunately though if this is happening on their watch, on their property, with a service they pay for and provide to their customers, itโs still their liability whether they like it or not.
Other than Armandos sketchy ponies they donโt offer much, they have a corn maze(not free anymore.) and a weird custom bounce floor unlike any Iโve seen before. If itโs anything like the ponies I wouldnโt want to trust it.
The cider doughnuts can be good but are hit and miss and expensive. At times the frying oil will be smoking hot and very dark. No one who prepares the doughnuts wears a mask and the cinnamon sugar glaze just sits out in the open air, exposed to everything in a very crowded and public place.
In summary this place misses the mark and seems more like a bait and switch than a pumpkin patch. I suggest going elsewhere, somewhere that isnโt just about money and making ends meet on an obviously failing farm and soon to be housing...
ย ย ย Read moreMeh. You pay $45 for a family of four, and then wait 45 minutes to take a 5-minute hayride. Then the kids wait 30 minutes for 5 minutes of bouncing on a trampoline. Oh yeah, and you have to pay extra for the pony ride. What?!
Either way, these people are delusional if they think they're offering even a halfway decent value for the money. At least the Pumpkin Fairy was nice.
And when we're all waiting for hours out in the sun, do you think you might be able to have a few coolers of water, or perhaps some cold drinking fountains around? The water vending machine wasn't working.
And if you're going to sell donuts, don't make the line for them be 45 minutes, too. That's just crazy. When we wait that long, you should...
