Cooks Park — Attraction in West Springfield

The quality of the park is there. There aren't a whole lot of features. You can have fun on a skateboard, but I would probably have more fun on a bike or scooter, basketball court and playground right next to it. There was a porta potty but somebody had knocked it over prior. I stood it up and still managed to use the bathroom sort of. Wouldn't recommend that but definitely a good Park...

Even with the grass hill, the playground equipment for older kids is very close to the road!!! Be aware! The traffic there is very fast even thought it is a quiet area. Otherwise, he place surrounded with high plants from private garden and trees. The playground for little ones has a nice shade in a morning until noon. Interesting skatepark and certainly an upgrade from what they had before. It feels like they crammed a larger Park into a smaller footprint. Not a ton of room, not much in the way of transition. The manual pads are all the height of about two curbs.
