Very secluded park - great place to get away from it all. Though it only has standard electric hook up (30 amp) we managed just fine using our reducer from 50 to 30 amp. There is no water or septic on the individual sites but every 4 or 5 sites there is a water spout to fill your tanks if needed and there are clean bath houses through out park. Also there is a big dump station to empty your sewage.

We enjoyed the big roomy spot at #22, has big fire pit and extra large picnic table. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. They even had fire wood.

I think the only draw back for us because we are not use to it, is the huge mountains we encountered driving here - very curvy and steep. We have an F350 pulling a 40 ft 5th wheel (16,000 lbs) so you can imagine how scary it was making those sharp curves going up n down the mountain. Our brakes were squealing by the time we got halfway through the mountains. But the view was absolutely beautiful and the experience is something we'll never forget.

The town Elkins is 10 minutes away and has many stores, places to eat, and fuel - $2.39 a gallon for...

The camp hosts, Rhoda and Glen were super helpful and friendly! The bathrooms and shower house are clean, and there is plenty of hot water! The sites are clean and the fire pits have a double grill that make cooking very easy! We have four small kids and they had a blast riding their bikes around the campground. We stayed in July and the temperatures were perfect and we were amazed at the lack of bugs. The campsite is over all small, which is nice- to keep noise and campground traffic down. For tent camping, site 15 is hands down the best! The only reason I'm giving this a 4 instead of 5 is because of the nearby highway traffic noise and dog barking/fighting noise. There is a dog facility nearby that interrupts the still and quiet of this beautiful place, so be aware you might not get an uninterrupted night of sleep! The Shavers Fork swimming and fishing area adjacent to this campground is...

Im giving this a 3 star not for the service but for the appearance of the Park. The fellow that works at the little camper was very nice and professional. The park is somewhere i have camped since i was around 7-8 years old. I'm 52 now and i think its time for the campground to upgrade their restroom facilities. This is not caveman years. Its so gross to sit in a rundown outhouse with no electric and gross toilets. You pray a snake dont bite you on the rear and god, the smell. I think as a camper, you deserve a lit clean facility that is clean and sanitary. The showers are gross. The campsites that were once nice is neglected and grown up with weeds. I remember this place being nicely kept. i was kind of disappointed. I havent been here for a few years and i can say its went downhill in my opinion. Come on Wv you can do better. Tourism needs to stepup and do...

What a great Park/campground! 26 sites with electric, and clean toilets & shower house at the campground. The Day use park has pavilions and multiple picnic areas along the Shavers Fork River, which is loaded with trout. Also, for the first time ever, starting Memorial day weekend 2025, you will be able to rent out the lodge on recreation.gov website, as well as rent the 3 various sized pavilions for weddings, family reunions or birthday parties. Staff is very welcoming and helpful.

Nice size camping site with electric water fill for tanks near sites. The hiking was nice with a beautiful overlook. The day use area was well kept up with nice open areas for picnics walking and availability to the beautiful rock stream. We only encountered a time where there was not water available. Enjoyed would definitely return. Lots to do near by.

The tent sights were clean and had pads to put tents on. There were poles to hang lanterns on. It was a wooded area and quiet. Bathrooms were decent. Shower when no one else is because the water gets cool. We stayed one night which was okay however I wouldn’t be a place I’d want to stay for a long time. Not much going on.
