Went here with my family back in 1977. My little brother and I were trying to hook into a huge fish to show our mom and have for supper. A park ranger came along and told us that fishing off the bridge wasn't allowed. He was super cool and walked us back to our parents and told them the same thing. What did we know? We were two boys aged 7 and 8 that were fishing fools. He invited us to this program that he was having later in the evening and gave us Ranger badges and a Smokey the Bear stuffed animals. It made me want to be a US Forestry Park Ranger, which I eventually became. Now my own kids run through the woods and forest like me and my little brother did back then. It was an amazing place in the 70's and I am sure it still is. A huge thanks to that cool park ranger. He could have been a real jerk and yelled at us two kids but, he made our whole trip and set me on a path to be a ranger also. FYI: I still have the Smokey the Bear stuffed animal from way back then. It's a prized item of mine that will always be dear to my heart. Take your kids camping and explore the outdoors. Set them on a path to enjoy our natural world. A kid that spends time in the woods doesn't have time to do drugs and all that nonsense! Their too busy exploring our American...
Read moreMy family stayed at the Fishing Bridge Campground in Yellowstone National Park for 5 nights in July 2024. It was a good centralized location to explore Yellowstone Park and all it's wonders. That said, I made reservations at this RV location specifically due to it's amenities. Unfortunately, our entire park loop ended up without electricity for our RV, due to faulty electrical installations. Hence, a required electrical health care component for one of our family could not be used, and there wasn't an alternative location made available. Tennants were extended a 30% discount per nights stay for this inconvenience. I also would like to have seen the grass and weed growth at the individual sites controlled better. A number of parties had difficulty operating the, "water hydrant" at their campsites. The laundry and shower facilities were well maintained...
Read moreLocation, location, location! In addition to being in a great location they are the only full hook up RV park in Yellowstone. Hard side campers only. They have a nice coin laundry, a small store stocked with RV supplies and souvenirs, and a shower with a limit of one shower per night for two occupants. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, let me repeat, the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Truth be told, they went out of their way to help us. Of course the RV park was full when we were there,in mid May, but everyone was really nice. There is no Wi-Fi or cell phone service. Not sure if a cell phone booster will even work. It is a bit tight in there but the location makes up for it. Would be wise to make a reservation well in advance. Highly...
