One of the best spots to get married at in Yellowstone. Easy access, lots of parking, paved, near restrooms and can hold larger wedding groups (15-30). As a wedding photographer who documents several weddings in Yellowstone, I highly recommend considering the amphitheater for your ceremony spot. Don't forget to apply for your SUP with YNP before getting married in the park. For photography info, search for Heather Woolery Photography.

Sadly, this Amphitheater is in desperate need of repair. Clearly it has not been used for years, the forest is starting to take over and many of the benches are rotten. This is a magical location for a ranger talk, yet the NPS has put no effort into maintaining this jewel.

The Madison Amphitheater is right next to the Madison Campground look for postings in the campground for Ranger lead lectures that are held every so often. this is also one of my most favorite campgrounds in the park because it's kind of in the center of the park and...

Didn't stay here but we stopped to look around. In the short time we were here a family of bison walked though the trees literally 20 feet from us. Old and very young. It was amazing. The area is beautiful with the Madison river and the campgrounds looked clean and...
