Wade Lake — Attraction in West Yellowstone

Hard to express how wonderful this place is! The water is very clear! That is the primary draw. There can be a lot of people here, which can be very distracting, and not really that enjoyable if you’re going to stay on the beach. If you’re going to take your kayak out here, parentheses no speedboat are allowed on this lake! Be careful of the wind, as it can blow away from the beach where you need to land, and the lake is very desolate at the other end. Always love this place the scenery is so beautiful and relaxing the water is so nice for swimming you can either canoe paddle board or kayak… the camping ground makes you commune with nature the sound of chipmunks and song birds in the morning is your alarm clock … disconnecting from social media for a little bit makes your camping...

Great location for kayaking, swimming or just chilling by the lake. The color of the water is spectacular. Only draw back for us was it gets quite crowded along the shoreline and too many dogs when we were there. We just wanted peace and quiet and a few of the dogs...
