Killbuck Lakes — Attraction in Westfield Township

The lake is gorgeous. The water is clear. However, there are not many places to bank fish. This is primarily a kayak lake, and it shows. However, there are multiple species of fish that are abundant and the water is deep. Some folks have complained about ticks, but I didn't have any on me after walking the trail.

It's a nice lake to take a kayak or paddleboard on, the water reaches depths of over 50' in places, and it's very clear. Plenty of fish to be found here, and if you're a bank fisherman, there are a number of spots cleared that include benches that you can sit on near the water if you follow the path around the lake. Was told to check out this park by a friend. Quiet park with beautiful landscape, saw lots of wildlife (bunnies, birds, some toads...) Several people were fishing. We decided to walk the trail 1.25 miles. You could tell it had not been maintained well. Nice benches and Eagle Scout projects came into view. As soon as we got off the trail we both had ticks on us.
