This is a fantastic little known spot to spend the afternoon or even an entire day. The local community as turn this park into an amazing place to visit. There is restrooms a playground and more hiking trails and beautiful views then you can believe. This is the site where the old Westfir Mill used to be and if you had off in a West direction on foot you'll be walking through the old Mill site and can see some of the remaining foundations and walls. The original Mill was close to a mile long. If you go to the east you'll be hiking into the Cascades on some marvelous trails. and don't forget of course the covered bridge there which is one of the few original ones with wooden...
Read moreWe were on a long road trip and came out this direction to ride our mountain bikes on the North Fork Trail and found this cool feature by chance! It was cool to drive our Truck and Camper on a covered bridge. Nice open parking area at both end to wait for one way traffic. At the far end there is access to the trail and a covered picnic area too. We were all by ourselves and were able to take a video crossing the bridge. Pretty cool when you stumble on things like this and you are not expectign them - the benefits...
