The national park service is trying to stop people from creating new use trails to find a waterfall that dosen't exist. In dry years (AKA most years) there is NO waterfall, or if there is it is just a tiny trickle of water in February and March. The new trails and resulting garbage are damaging to the animal and plant life that rely on the little water in the area that does exist, so please enjoy the area from...

This waterfall is there, I just came back from there, but to get here you have to follow another path. It is not far, but the path is difficult, there are many paths with lots of plants and branches along the way. Also many slippery stones. But when I was close I could hear the noise of the water. The water is flowing nicely at the falls. There is a trail going up to the area where the rocks start. You can probably get right to the bottom of the falls if you want to rock scramble but we didn't want to do that today since we had our dog with us. Dogs are allowed on this section of the Backbone...

This waterfall is there, I just came back from there, but to get here you have to follow another path. It is not far, but the path is difficult, there are many paths with lots of plants and branches along the way. Also many slippery stones. But when I was close I could hear the noise of the water. At the top of the waterfall the view is spectacular.
