Calcasieu Point Landing — Attraction in Westlake

Great place for family fishing and outings. Double wide boat launch, fish cleaning stations and plenty of parking. Pier and parking lot are lighted and this place never closes. Restrooms on site but they could be a bit more sanitary. Regardless I love this place. Especially for night fishing. I lowered my rating because The pier hasn't been repaired since Laura and has been barricaded for public safety. I sure hope it gets repaired soon. It was a great place for family fishing. First time visiting since new restrooms added. I never cared to go into the store, because i assumed it was overpriced. I saw a sign on the counter, must spend $5 for credit purchases, i rounded up several items, upon looking at the prices, i had a bit of shopping to do. Candy bars .33 cents, etc., the lady working there was very nice and said i had enough...she said laughingly, we're cheaper than the dollar store. Facilities...
