If you are looking for a place to boondock and get away from it all. This is it. At least during the week. It's a huge mostly level desert with lots of places to set up camp. There is a vault toilet and a dumpster and not much else. We were here during the 3d week of January 2022. Arrived on Wednesday. Absolutely nobody here for miles around. By Friday a few groups of people with dune buggies, ATVs, and dirt bikes started filtering in. It never got very busy or anoying. By Sunday afternoon, most of them were gone. There is a more formal campground up the road with defined sites (covered areas, picnic tables, fire rings) that has coin operated hot showers, but no cell coverage, so we didn't stay there.
