Weston has 245 acres of parks to explore that appeal to a variety of recreational uses. They range from small passive parks to vast athletic complexes like this one. Vista Park is a 30 acre athletic park in Weston that opened in 2002. It is between Cypress Bay High School and Falcon Cove Middle School.
This well maintained and spacious park is primarily used by the youth sports leagues in Weston. Vista Park has four baseball / softball fields and four multi purpose fields that can be used for football, lacrosse, and soccer. The park also has an electric vehicle charging station, restrooms, shelters and pavilion which can be rented, and a shaded covered playground with a section for younger children and one for older kids.
During my visit there was soccer practice and a baseball game going on. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate several sporting events at once. The park has a nice walking trail so that you can exercise while waiting for your kids to finish up practice.
Lightning is always a concern when you are outside in Florida and Vista Park is protected by the Lightning Prediction System ThorGuard. If you hear one horn blast seek shelter. When it is all clear it will be signaled by three blasts of the horn.
