This park is notable for having a historic mansion and related structures on its grounds, which are really cool to see. Nice trees on the grounds also. There is a playground with a Porta pottie, long walking trails, and athletic fields which are removed from the mansion and playground parts of the park and have their own closer parking lot. Parts of the trail here go into the woods and it's a more rustic experience than other parks. Just be warned that the trail is not paved in a number of places and is not well marked, so at times you might wonder if you're on someone's private home property or you might have to cut across lawn to pick up the trail. If you want to walk here, wear good shoes, don't bring wheeled anything and be prepared for gravel/ mud/ grass in some segments...

Many goldfish have taken over the pond that's covered in duckweed and algae and it seems runoff or gasoline is in the water and creates an anoxic environment for the remaining life. Read moreThis is a beautiful little park off of oakbourne road. This is a great place to bring the family, however, you're not going to find swing sets or Jim's here. They do have some gazebos and benches for picnicking and there are plenty of walking trails to take a nice walk.
