Bluhm County Park — Attraction in Westville

Thank you Lord for such a peaceful respite for busy days. This is a place to sit, walk and reconnect while finding peace. And if you don't need to "reconnect" with yourself, well then, bring your furry friend and spend some precious bonding time with your dog. Thank you LaPorte County for planning and placing this park here in Westville. A beautiful tucked away park in LaPorte County with plenty of trails for hiking, bikes, and horses. The trails are long and will make for an enjoyable hike. Swings, a gazebo for parties, volleyball net, and plenty of other amenities to enjoy a nice sunny day.

Sidebar, the western trail (if you want to see most of the trail) will require some boots during some parts of the year as it is unpaved unlike most of the trails. So it may be a bit muddy at times. But this definitely does not detract from the beauty...

I didn't know what to expect with the mountain bike trails but I'm so glad we checked it out! It's excellent for advanced beginners. Trails were just the right amount challenging. They weren't groomed though, meaning large logs/fallen trees that needed to be sawed and removed were blocking the paths. Some areas of the path were very narrow and we rode through tall brush with some plant that made us itch and break out in rash. The pain subsided 30 minutes later. Make sure to wear pants and...
