“The Seminole Nation Museum documents and interprets the history and culture of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and the people and events that make its capital, Wewoka, one of the most historically significant and culturally diverse communities in Oklahoma. Through the use of select artifacts, historic photographs, and interpretive exhibits, the events and stories that shaped the home of the Seminoles for more than a century are chronicled in a captivating, educational, and enlightening experience.”- copied from the Seminole Nation Museum website. I loved the collection of stunning Native American art. Colorful meticulous art work is displayed in this well-maintained small expertly designed gallery. A treasure of the Seminole Nation and of Oklahoma. A must visit museum, hidden in Wewoka. Art, historical artifacts and informative displays of notable events and Oklahoma icons. The pictures are a hint as to what the museum has to offer. Free! Donations are appreciated! Visit Wewoka!

Mvto! It's so meaningful to attend this museum. We came from Washington state so I could bring my eldest son. We were a little disappointed that some of the museum was closed down but took our time exploring the rest. I hadn't been back in 9 years so it was neat to see the new exhibits and video additions. So greatful for this place and for preserving our legacy 🙏🏽

A must-see museum trip. Only an hour from oklahoma city ok. The museum runs on a donation box. The girft shop is also a wonderful authentic Seminole purchasing. The Ribbon skirts and Ribbon baby outfits are a must to purchase - Peggy T. Is the artist in making these clothes.

OK what can I say about this Museum! I do want to be respectful at the same time. I want to be completely honest!

Well 1st it really doesn't tell the story of the real Indigenous peoples of wewoka which is a town in Oklahoma. And it seems like they glorified the 3 men that killed a slave, if you're not from Oklahoma you should mostdefinitely should come take a trip here because it has a lot of history and historical place, Is fascinating !!♡ As a child I had a lot of fun here, because at that time it was a lot to do but little to do, as i have lots of...
