Since most of the posts here are reviews of one-off flights, I thought it might be helpful for me to talk about the lesson packages instead. I've just completed my first solo flight after having spent the last few months learning from Mark and Ty (who flew tandem with me) and Tiki (who pilots the tug).
Throughout the whole process they were in constant communication with me and with each other about my progress and what I needed to work on. All of the instructors did a great job of both encouraging me in order to to keep my confidence up, as well as giving me critical feedback so that I progressed safely. The regulars who fly at Cowboy Up are always around to share their wisdom and their stories, and the whole process has been extremely rewarding.

Read moreWe were referred to the place by a colleague, who hang glides for years, when we came to Houston on a way to another place in TX... Well -- as a result, it became the highlight of our trip! I did try hang gliding 24 years ago but flew only as high as few feet from the hills in NM. This time -- it was enough for me to get high (literally), scared, excited, and even to "drive" the glider "myself" for a minute or so! Moreover, I even let my 17 yo to do the same before me ;)

Read moreI had a fun and awesome time at cowboy up hangliding. The view was amazing and exhilarating!!! At 3000 feet I even got to control the hanglider and I felt like a bird. The hangliding instructors were really nice. The only thing I would advise is that pick a day where it is sunny and warm, and not too windy. Because my hang-gliding trip got rescheduled twice because the wind was too strong and the weather was not safe to hanglide.
