This is simply the quintessence of the covered bridge-the over two hundred year history parallels the growth and change of the region, along with unfortunately the last reconstruction relating to arson. It is beautiful and unlike many other bridges we have visited, you can drive through and pull over so you aren’t risking trespass or danger of oncoming cars, so you are able to really enjoy it. I like that there is not a lot of graffiti, likely due to the last rebuild being fairly recent and its relative remote location. The stream is nice although I would be curious about failing septics or floods in the area, the smell was a bit overpowering and I don’t believe it was from farm field spread.
