This short piece of public access is a goldmine to a little more than a handful of folks who love the beach for all reasons. In the summer when the salmon runs and the area opens for the chance to land some beautiful fish...a beach where you can find nice sand as well as the beautiful agates and shells. At times during the hottest weekends this beach can become quite full and 100 feet of space really isn't accommodating at all for this public access.... I have to give kudos to the neighborhood of Moran's beach...other than a couple of understandably disgruntled homeowners...the majority seems to understand and allow the beach lovers to do their thing when the beach becomes too crowded. As long as they respect the beach and keep it clean. We appreciate you!! Throughout the rest of the year Moran is pretty quiet and serene..every once in a while you'll see some whales n dolphins passing by and the resident otters and seals all kinds of marine birds. Oh and there's a beautiful big hairy German Shepherd who lives there so sweet and playful ...he will literally bring you a piece of driftwood or something and hope that u might play such a happy playful bear so fun to watch. Truly a convenient goldmine so close to home. One of Oak Harbors...

Well, was a fun family outing-don’t ever get time to take the fam out and decided to go to a beach found on google maps kind of spur of the moment. Great place but you’re pretty limited by the rules. No restroom. As we were leaving an old lady (local neighboring the County Park) made sure to remind us of the rules by not going beyond the park borders and to not move Any drift would as they apparently have lost 80’ of there property over the time of living there.. on top of that another older lady swarmed into the parking lot and also reminded us of the rules and asked us if the towel she found was ours and started inspecting the entire beach for anything left behind. The 1 1/2 hours we were there it was just us and one other family and a couple people who parked and never got out-wouldn’t doubt if one of them were a local “county park security officer” spying on us… kind of felt like it. *Anyways was a great place for the time spent-we got here early around 10am I think. Probably won’t come back...

We found this place after we couldn't find any parking at the West beach. This beach had plenty of parking. The beach is nice but very small. I start walking along the beach while picking up some cool pebbles and I got yelled at. There is an old disgruntled lady that yells at any one who crosses invisible line to a private property on the beach. There is no signs and any other ways to reference where is a public beach vs. private property when you are walking next to water. Well, that old crazy lady will let you know as soon as you step over the boundaries 😆😂 She takes pictures of trespassers and threatens them to file her photos to a county. I told her that she just has nothing better to do with her life and she can call the police for all I care. I was just picking up some...

Beautiful tiny beach to stop and relax at. It seems private on both sides, basically from the edges of the parking lot down to the water. A family was there playing in the sand and enjoying the beach just as well as we did. A gentleman had a paddle board and he was friendly before he went out. We didn’t encounter any locals. There was also a single port-a-potty there. There are multiple signs about trespassing and the size of the beach, so it’s not hard to figure that out. We enjoyed this little stop. I should probably add that the tide was very far out so there was a long portion of the beach to enjoy.
