Probably the best thing about this park is the location. Very close to the Deception Pass state park which is great. Clean facilities as well. But what turned me off from this park and why I won’t be returning is the Rules. I understand that for the comfort for all guests basic rules will need to be instated. But if you stay here, expect the rule book to be constantly thrown into your face (well email box), even when the violations are not your own! I had received a call from the park manager regarding a carpet I put down by the front door of my RV. I was told that putting carpets on the grass, even though the grass was dead, is a direct violation of the rules that I signed when I checked in. Okay, we rolled up the carpet. The rest of the stay my email box was bombarded with 2+ emails a day from management pointing out small violations people are committing and how it’s a direct violation of the rules that we all signed when we checked in. These emails even continued after we checked out for a few days.

I’m a huge believer of Letter of the Law vs Spirit of the Law. Yes all these emails did correlate with actual rules that where broken, and we did sign those rules at check in as continually pointed out. But Id like a little bit of latitude on putting my carpet on the dead grass to make the outside of the RV more comfortable to utilize.

Every time we got an email it’s that feeling of “oh god what do we have to go back and fix” until we read through it and find it’s probably referencing someone else in the park. Really adds unneeded...

We have stayed at this campground before, but never again. Extremely narrow sites, where your slides infringe on your neighbors space. The pictures on the website show well maintained green lawn, absolutely false, there is nothing but weeds, and make sure you dont drive on those weeds, they will fine you. You are required to sign a list of rules, which we did, sadly. We were getting ready to leave for the day and moved the car in the space next to us so our 80 yr old handicap mother could park in front of us. Less than 3 minutes, they came trotting up with their dogs and said that will cost us $50 and to further add insult they charged us tax on our fine. We have been traveling for over 2 months and the only bad experience we have had. We should have known when they had numerous spaces available that something was wrong and they are removing all negative from reviews. Only campground within 100 miles that has vacancies, that says it all. Also need to mention the late arrival at midnight, who had no clue how to back up and I have no doubt everyone was awake when he was done. Also twice we went to the office and it was locked, but they claim it is manned from 11-6. I guess the multiple cameras all over the park is how they play their game. Be prepared to move a picnic table when you arrive, they block the sites with the picnic table and you are on your own to move it. Not...

I would never stay here again. My friends and i decided on a last minute camping trip close to home. We called the week before we wanted to stay and reserved 2 spots right next to each other and gave our card number for the deposit. We show up the day of our reservation for them to tell us that they forgot to run our card so our reservation was canceled. they no longer had two spots next to each other. So we settled for a little bit bigger of a lot. But then they charged us 89.00 for the campsite for 2 nights. when the reservation for 2 spots was only going to be 115.00. And the woman we spoke to had no answer as to the price difference. And to top it off they charged us for EVERYTHING! examples: we were told that we could have 3 free parking passes, when we went to get them we were told that it was filling up so they had to charge us $2.00 a peice for them. And then they charged extra per person over the limit when we had originally tried to get 2 spots. and they charged us for the children who were 2 years old and not even a year old. even disneyland doesn't charge for children under 3! I wont be going back because to add a cherry to all of this the management was VERY rude and disrespectful. They never even apologized for not running our card and holding our reservation, which was THEIR fault. I DO NOT...

North Whigdy RV Campground After a long 3000 mile journey through Canadian back country from Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, through British Columbia across Trans-Canadian Hyw 1 Through American customs, confiscated A few of my tomatoes purchased in Canada, I arrived at the gate house welcomed by a lovely cheerful kindhearted woman named Joy she was smiling at me. I’ve never met her before and she knew my name she gave me a set of rules that I signed a piece of paper. She showed me where my campsite was. I am parked My truck and detached the trailer RV because The site pad was too short for both truck and trailer attached. Shortly after I proceeded to pass out for my brain needed rejuvenating from the long journey . When I woke up saw her smiling face again and she asked me if I read the rules about not parking on the grass and I sadly said no, she offered me another location , and was extremely helpful! I love her and her husband Leo, and their kind helpful spirit. Great to have good hosts and such a beautiful park and location! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help. It was a great experience for my first visit to Washington!!

Very well-maintained grounds, with a fantastic location across the street from the main section of Deception Pass State Park (and quick access to Bowman Bay, 30 mins to Ebey’s Landing, etc.) Luckily we stayed during off-peak time, because most of the sites are very close together. I’m not sure how I would feel about that during peak season. Additionally, the pads are *very* narrow. Given that we came during a winter holiday, there was no on-site staff. We did not receive directions for getting into the club house, but almost all other information was provided on a nice brochure. It took a while for my husband to figure out how to get the water on. Our spigot was shut off, and he ended up cutting himself (it was dark and the water valve was about 1.5’ down). You can tell there are full-time residents here, and there are a lot of rules, but that’s how you keep things orderly. There’s a lot to offer here (playground area, dog park, hot showers, heated bathrooms), and I can see us coming back!

This is a tough review to do. Seems to be hit or miss. There are a lot of things I like about the park. It is in a beautiful location, had clean and warm bath/shower houses, some spots are huge with shade trees and grass, all sites have fire pits and nice picnic tables and they provide rocks and paint to leave a painted rock behind in the garden (see photo). But, the Wi-Fi was super slow, cell service was super spotty, the sites were paved but definitely not level, provided cable channels weren't worth hooking up to. We didn't get to experience the jet noise, so not sure how that would have impacted our stay. Front desk lady was nice sometimes and not so much others. She deadbolted us into the day room without warning us. We had to go out the back door rather than though the office which is the way we got in.
