As nice as this is, do not go unless you are a resident of Whispering pines! Where I am from, lakes are for everyone to enjoy, though here it is not the case Was approached by a police officer who asked if I was a resident. When I responded that I technically lived just over the line, he said it was for Whispering pines tax payers only and if "outsiders" were frequently using it, there wouldn't be anyplace for residents to park I have taken my grandkids there several times and there was probably a total of 6 people swimming, all of the times combined. Maybe they aught to charge for parking as a way to generate money and they could add it to their speed...

The picnic & grills area is always clean (as people clean up after themselves)& great for enjoying the summer day out of the sun. Also has lights & electric outlets. Although there are no bathrooms facility, there IS a port-a-potty. Pavillion can even be reserved for parties & events (at no charge) by Whispering Pines...
