You can tell this was a once great trail, despite incredibly confusing signage. Now nature has clearly begun to take over with large downed trees across the trail every couple of miles, loose gravel on even the most treacherous descents (some of them doubling as switch backs), dirt eroded away to reveal relentless roots, and thorny plants always just on the outskirts but sometimes becoming so thick that it's better to take another path than to continue the trail you were on.
