Unless you are a seasonal resident, don't plan on finding a public access or beach to swim at. There are a few "public" egress sites, technically, but they are not advertised or treated as such. The lake is very built-up with cottages and large homes, and, although sometimes nice to look at, it is crowded with out-of-state and part-year visitors during summer holidays, and, although many of the regulars and residents can be found to be kind and friendly, some do not seem to be very accommodating to outsiders or strangers.
