Flower Creek Dunes Nature Preserve — Attraction in White River Township

This nature preserve is located inside the Meinert county park so you will need to purchase a park pass to enter. Dogs are allowed at the nature preserve but NOT allowed in the county park/beach. They allowed us to walk to the nature preserve with my dog but there wasn’t much to do once we got there. I only saw one trail that goes to Lake Michigan but we can’t go on the beach with our dog so we couldn’t even walk very far. Yes it’s beautiful here but not worth it if you have a dog. We only spent 10-20mins here just taking pictures. Good for kids...

I can't really comment on the actual nature reserve but wanted to provide some details so others don't make the same mistake. It says the nature preserve is dog friendly, but you can only access it from Meinert park which DOES NOT allow dogs on the beach or water so you can't actually get to it. Really disappointing.
