Great place to reserve for an event, and great place to go for a simple walk in the park. Oak Openings has some really nice trail systems for walking, running, and even biking. I grew up going here, yet 20 years later, I still like coming back to relax for an evening. They've updated the play areas since I was a kid and I'm really impressed with everything they put in. The only warning I have for the park is to bring boots if you want to hike after it's rained. Some of the trails get really muddy...

This is an exciting place to take my grandchildren who are 4 and 6. We went while the birds were migrating north. They saw all the excitement with searching for the different kinds of birds. Now when we go to Oak Openings that is the first place they go check out. Each time they see a new bird! it would be nice if they had some bird noices when they flipped up a picture of a bird. awesome place and clean.
