We have hiked this twice. The first time we went it was me and my fiancé and we hiked to the waterfall. It was beautiful and the hike wasn’t that bad. The second time we went we hiked up to the top of high rock. It was me my fiancé and my 13 year old daughter. It was VERY stranious to say the least. It’s very rocky, and alot of uphill slopes. You will have to have a hiking stick for either trail cause there are spots were you can’t get traction and near the creeks is very slick. It’s a beautiful hike but I suggest hiking shoes and if you don’t have a hiking stick find a sturdy stick in the woods to use. We were supposed to be taking the trail to the top of the waterfall but ended up on what we thought was the loop and back trail. Turns out, that was wrong as well. We kept going until we get to another sign that put us back towards the road called Pine Mountain trail. It took us FOREVER to get to the bottom and when we did, we found another sign in sheet that said the trail was 17 Miles. We walked 17+ miles when the signs were saying 3.2.
