I didn’t do much this first trip. I found the place, looked around, watched ducks parading by on the water. It’s a lovely lake, no beach, some modest homes. There’s a canal that tuns beside the road that is dark and murky, cypress trees, and full of alligators floating around. I counted six and had to stop as the road is very narrow and nowhere to park. I went back and ate lunch at Dale’s restaurant. I asked questions and plan to go back in 2 weeks and finish the drive to the end of the road. Near there is a boardwalk, I’m told and pier to walk on.
