Beautiful campground impeccably maintained! Beautiful views of Elk Lake. Nice double boat launch.Decent priced wood for sale & delivered to your campsite & ice available for sale. The bath house was impressively clean and very well maintained! There is a charge of .25 for 7 minutes of water in the shower ,this could be a possible drawback for some. We did notice some old ropes left tied and becoming embedded in the pine trees at our campsite . These ropes were around the upper portion of several of the pine trees at our campsite from previous campers. We managed to stand on my trucks bumper to cut and remove all of the ropes off the trees! These ropes left indentations into the trees trunks even after we removed them. The quiet time on our first night was ignored by our neighbors cranking out country music for about an hour past the 10 pm noise curfew. That was extremely irritating for us ,we love the peacefulness of the woods and a camp fire at night and just escaping into this ritual of ours was interrupted by disrespectful fellow campers. There isn’t a host campsite so any issues like the noise issue go unaddressed until the offender decided to turn that noise off lol! Ultimately we will return ,the campground is gorgeous and mostly peaceful! There’s always somebody that’s not respectful of others!

5 years ago when we first started coming, I would've given 5 stars. This campground is in a really pretty location. The grounds and facilities are clean and well-maintained. However, the inane policies, staff, and up-pricing are making me question our return for a 6th year. I paid $40+ for 2 nights of firewood while camping in a forest - insanity. See attached photo - that's an $8 bundle of firewood sold by the campground. Here's a ridiculous policy: you can bring an RV/camper, a tent for adults, and a tent for kids - no problem. But if you don't bring an RV/camper and instead want to bring 2 tents for adults and 1 for kids - you have to pay $20/night for the extra tent. The staff seems to treat everyone like crooks and schemers and they're very aggressive about up-charges. When discussing the ridiculousness of the aforementioned tent policy and alternatives, the attendant finally said "You're going to pay an extra $20/night, and that's all there is to it." So as much as I love the campground and the facilities, the changing price-tag and the confrontations are becoming impediments to my satisfaction.

My experience is with the launch, which is a nice ramp. The low rating is due to the terrible advice given to me by Margo (the attendant). She gave me incorrect directions to Skeemog, and Torch river. She laughed at my questions about shallow water and stumps telling me " They put yachts in here" and " there's only stumps at the south end of Skeemog". She said she had never heard of anyone hitting one. I hit a tree exactly between Elk and Skeemog, it caught my outdrive and pole vaulted my boat a couple feet out of the water. She gave me completely incorrect information. If you don't know that's fine, but don't pretend that you do, especially in a situation like this. My boat is a 21' bowrider with an outdrive. I wasn't loaded down either, just my wife and I. There was a man closing the launch when I returned, he said people hit stumps all the time going to Skeemog and someone had died last year. Next time I want to go on Torch I will launch on Torch. I liked Elk Lake better than Torch, although the sand bar on Torch is very cool. Ramp fee $5.00.

On day 3 of the worst camping experience ever. If you're familiar with my reviews(only when something is terrible) then brace yourself this "park" is not on elk lake 4 sites yup 4 that's it have a view. The rest are in pine trees dripping sap like rain 🌧 on everything so be prepared to throw your tent away and clean for days. There is nonstop traffic issues. Road blocks because the 1 lane road goes both ways with huge campers going in and out so be prepared to wait extended amounts of time just coming and going. The bathrooms are filthy and the showers are straight out of a horror flick. Floors are almost dirt soapy and whatever nasty mud and cost money you have to pay every 2 minutes so you'll be paying 2x before it's warm there's a boat launch so everything is shared so to get water, dump, garbage, ice is really far from the camp sites so you have to drive to do anything with absolutely no parking at showers or bathroom making another traffic nightmare if I could give this $46 a night + fees and showers a grade it would be an F needs new manager and some investment there's nothing but a cpl kids working here don't even know how to answer the phone you can leave as many messages as you want and if u call goes straight to voicemail there cancelation cost about the same to stay here now I know why. I'm actually on a view lot someone canceled when I got here and boy do I wish I'd have stayed at the clean inclusive state park for only 38 a night free clean showers. White water township RV park hands down is the worst in...

This is a reasonably priced and beautiful site. Tons of shade, dog friendly trails, and gorgeous lake views. The majority of the staff were great.

However, our group had many issues with Dan. He was unprofessional and did not care that we paid for these sites. Apparently when one person pays for six sites you have to register them with six separate people. If a person in your group is unable to come up for the weekend, they expect the group that purchased the site to give it up with no refund. Instead, since we paid for it and would not be refunded, we tried to use our empty site for group meals. We were harassed multiple times when we moved picnic tables together, they tried to remove our card from the site so they could mark it as empty and sell it to someone else, walked through our sites and did not respect our privacy, and were generally rude about this whole situation.

There was also a strange incident in which Dan was staring into our camper for several minutes. I'm hoping he was just admiring our dogs, but it made me feel uncomfortable as I was alone in there with them at the time and they are not guard dogs.

The site overall was great and we will be back, but I hope Dan is given some guidance on interacting with people in a more respectful way before...
