Penn Park — Attraction in Whittier

Beautiful park..... Very open space, great for the kids to run around... Super quiet. Wonderful place for a picnic. Great place for the family. It's always looking clean. A lot of squirrel's. Everyone usually keeps to themselves. Quite peaceful for a change. For being a park & public place the restrooms are really clean. I wouldn't recommend using it, but if you have too, you can do so with somewhat of a peace of mind. But the toilet paper sucks. It's those tiny piece by piece individual square pieces of toilet paper, so unreliable. I have three little girls and I make them go before we leave home. It's a beautiful park, peaceful. Well recommend. Great place to take pictures. With the hot weather, it's really nice to sit in the shade and enjoy the breeze. They have made some great updates, the playground is completely remodeled, its really awesome...

Beautiful little park. Great for a photo shoot. Although there are so many rules for this park. As soon as you walk up to the park, you'll notice a wide range of rules signs posted at every entrance. No animals allowed, all wedding and party photo shoots must have permits, no guns (what the?), and so on. I give the park a four star just because it's so pretty. Restrooms are clean. Lots of picnic tables all placed in a cement location under NO shade. Maybe it's because they were doing some work on the park. Location is right next to the Athens dump site. So you'll notice dump trucks driving by. Wish they would allow walks around with fur babies. It seems that Whittier is NOT...

Amazing, beautiful, serene park BUT the kids playground…I mean come on WHITTIER!!! How many more months until the slide is open and the floor padding is fixed? It has been months that the slide has been closed off with a piece of wood that it so unsafe because kids are playing with it and the chain. My son has got so many splinters and I’ve seen kids trying to climb over it to use slide. Central Park same story broken playground parts that were removed and are not being replaced. During the weekends penn park is over crowded with multiple weddings, quinceañeras, kid parties so I wouldn’t suggest coming here on weekends at all if you want a...
