Park at top of Turnbull Canyon rd and not at the bottom or you will get a ticket. The other option is street parking near Hellman Park. The trail has some shade in the Canyon but very exposed at top of Turnbull Canyon. It is a steady climb to the top of the Canyon and then an easy trail along the ridges. You can connect with many trails in the area if you want a longer hike. At the top there are good views of Los Angeles and San Bernardino Mountain ranges. Did not see too many people on the trails.
