I had been here before and had zero problems. But this holiday weekend I went up there, it was packed. So after maybe 5-10 minutes there were multiple dog "fights" and disagreements between all sorts of dogs. I thought that was odd.
Until a little boy noticed there were hundreds of treats on the ground along the fence line between the large dogs & small dogs. Literally the whole fence line. We tried to pick some up, but the boy & his family left as soon did I.
Please people, dogs FIGHT over treats all the time with unfamiliar settings and strange dogs/people. I called the humane society and animal control, but neither cared. I'm not sure if it was malicious or stupid. Someone did it for a reason.
So I will never return to this place, even if it's 5 minutes away. And I would NOT RECOMMEND taking your...
Read moreNice dog park and convently just off the highway. Three separate fenced areas setup like 3 small baseball fields. Each area has double gates to enter. The fence is extremely well built/installed and is around 6-7 ft. tall...VERY safe. Ground is a 50/50 mix of grass and slightly rocky soil - still early spring tho. Covered picnic tables and several benches in each area. Reason for a 4 and not a 5 is because of the entrance design. The first 30-40 ft. of each dog run slopes back toward the entrance and increases the muddy factor...
Read moreAs far as dog parks go, this place was a disappointment. It's just a couple of rather small, fenced enclosures with no trees and some grass that has seen better days. There were many obvious cases of owners not picking up their dogs' waste. Also, the park seems to be built on a construction landfill, which would be fine except that our dogs both got sores on their feet soon after a couple of laps around the place... Possibly from debris? On the positive side, there is ample parking and there are drinking fountains...
