My wife Trang and I recently had the pleasure of spending a night at Horsehead Lake Lodge & Event Center. This was our very first AirBNB experience and our inaugural voyage into the wonderful world of 'glamping', and I have to say, it far exceeded our wildest dreams.
Our host, Scott, was nothing short of phenomenal. His ultra-responsive and super helpful communication style on AirBNB laid the foundation for our outstanding stay. Every inquiry we threw his way, from last-minute booking queries to arrival time changes, was met with a quick and accommodating response. He welcomed us warmly, well ahead of the scheduled check-in time, and continued to be incredibly helpful throughout our stay. His attentive and caring manner was the cherry on top of an unforgettable experience.
The location was idyllic. A perfect blend of the grandeur of Mother Nature with a hint of modern luxury. The glamping cabins were set in a picturesque spot by the lake, under a dense canopy of trees. They were perfectly furnished, clean, and well-maintained. Nestled amongst nature's serenity, the cabins offered a perfect retreat with the modern amenities of a refrigerator, air conditioning, and a grill. The promise of a lakeside cabin surrounded by towering trees and bathed in tranquility was not only met but surpassed.
The cabin interiors were chic and cozy, featuring two queen beds in a temperature-controlled environment that assured comfortable sleep after a day full of adventure. The roomy front porch was the perfect spot to enjoy the early morning sun or gaze at the star-studded night sky. With a refrigerator, gas griddle, and a coffee maker, we had everything we needed for a convenient and satisfying stay.
Speaking of adventure, the Horsehead Lake Lodge is a treasure trove. The place offers access to a boat dock with free kayaks, new pickleball courts, and a unique opportunity to book jeeps onsite through a Turo account. The lodge’s Waterfall Cabins, situated along the spillway at Horsehead Lake, offered spectacular views of one of Northwest Arkansas' highest volume waterfalls, a sight to behold, especially after heavy rains. We were also thrilled to hear about the variety of trails in the area, promising great outdoor hikes around the lake and to other stunning waterfall locations.
For those seeking more excitement, Horsehead Lake Lodge and Event Center comes loaded with outdoor activities. The 2,500 square feet pickleball and basketball courts, bag toss, bocce ball, and a large projector screen for movie nights ensured there was never a dull moment. The hiking and biking trails around the facility offered the chance to intimately explore the surrounding beauty.
As a marketing manager with over 20 years of experience, I cannot stress enough the importance of a well-rounded experience for customers. Horsehead Lake Lodge & Event Center hits the nail on the head with their astounding balance of hospitality, adventure, luxury, and serenity. This is not merely a place to stay; it’s an experience to remember, a paradise in the wilderness, and we can't wait to return.
Whether you're looking for an escape into nature, a glamping experience, a hike through lush forests, or a relaxing lakeside retreat, Horsehead Lake Lodge & Event Center caters to all these desires and more. From the moment we booked until the time we waved goodbye, every moment was steeped in care, adventure, and joy.
In conclusion, if you haven't yet considered a stay at Horsehead Lake Lodge & Event Center, I wholeheartedly recommend you do. The beautiful, tranquil setting combined with the top-notch customer service and a vast range of amenities make it an ideal spot for a weekend getaway or a lengthy retreat. Read morejust out of a stroke of luck we came across Horsehead Lake Lodge after a quick Google search for potential wedding venues. my fiance and I had already decided we did not want to get married in the UK as it just didn't seem like our style.
we loved what we saw and got in touch with Scott, Scott from start to finish has been an outstanding professional and more importantly personal who's been able to relate to every detail we have been looking for for our big day.
We stayed in contact with Scott for the last couple of months and arranged to come visit the venue and planned our trip over to Arkansas and stayed at the venue overnight as Scott insisted on our getting a first hand experience on what it's like at the Lodge.
we visited on the 26th, and as soon as we entered the reception hall and saw the view, I burst into tears with disbelief with how beautiful everything was. he showed us around the entire Lodge and I was speechless at just how breathtaking each part was. We spent the night inside the Lodge Cabin, with full use of the fire pits which Scott kindly brought over some firewood and Wendy supplied a couple tools to make stores in the evening as well as using the watering hole where the water was so refreshing.
next morning we spent hours watching the sunrise from the cabin before doing a little bit of fishing before leaving, and we told Scott and Wendy we fell in love with the venue and wanted to book our dates in for our big day.
Not only is the venue breathtaking, something out of a story book, but it's also at a reasonable price with full use of all amenities on site.
I can assure you, if me and my fiance were willing to travel across literal ocean 15+hours to visit the venue, then believe me it's worth the shot to go see it. you will not regret it.
we are so excited for our wedding to be...
Read moreWe where looking for a relaxing outdoor weekend adventure with an easy drive from DFW Tx and hit the ultimate destination. We saw a very nice selection of different accommodations from Glamping to a large cabin. We wanted to do more of the camping thing so we selected a Glamping experience. Great choice. Secluded below the cliff, the tent was situated right off the lake. There was a canoe and a bunch of kayaks at the pier just 50 yards from the tents that we jumped into. The lake was wonderful, peaceful and a breath of fresh air from the city. The camp site include a fire ring, some firewood, picnic table, a few chairs and a nice gas grill that we cooked the best Tri-tip ever. The tent was just right for our group - four adults and three dogs. The tent had everything from a good sized refrigerator, a sink, gas stove top, utensils and a table fire pit should the weather keep you under cover. The Glamping tent also had AC and a heater. The bathrooms were spotless and new as was the Glamping tent. Towels are provided, shower with hot water, and heater. Who doesn’t appreciate a little comfort while out in nature. We spent some time with with Scott - the owner and his amazing and friendly dog pack (Tilly, Tilly Tilly and Chloe). He showed us the Wedding venue with amazing views of the surrounding mountains with the lake down below and some of the other rentable cabins available. A great variety to choose from. We might do the waterfall cabin next time. We will be back for sure. We had a great relaxing long weekend and appreciated all the detail and comforts that Scott included in his properties. I almost forgot to mention the jacuzzis included at each of the waterfall cabins. We will...
