I like the privacy of the place. There were some upkeep/repairs that needed to be done that had been neglected (for the last several times we have been). The manager was friendly. He did ask that we not take the bedding off when we leave...made me question how often he really does change the sheets when guests leave. Overall, it was affordable and peaceful and the "big" cabin has a great view. There are 3 other smaller, more "primitive" cabins on the other side (area 2) that also have a good view and some play equipment. None of the criticisms would keep us from going back...we will definitely go back (even if we sleep on top of the covers! Ha!).

Great little park ok for one or two nights not much to do, but fish. If you stay in a cabin be prepared to walk across a bridge with water flowing over it to get most anywhere in the park or the other side. Cabins were ok need to be cleaned better the AC has mold on the inside and filter really need to be cleaned. They have a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. If there is more than 1 person bring extra chair to set at table inside. No picnic table close to cabin.

CLSP is a quiet, 564 acre, out of the way park with minimal services for the rugged outdoorsman that appreciates the ability to do his or her own thing. The lake is good for fishing. Showers and bathrooms are clean. Supplies are available a few miles down the road in Clayton. Lots of history here and you might even see a Bigfoot.

First weekend in May and this campground was rather Quite (empty) great for us because we like the quite. There are cabins to stay in but we have a tent and it is a little over-sized. had a hard time finding a place to put a tent and even if it was small the sites are a little rough and very hilly, looked more like picnic areas. There were a few places to park a RV that was flat but most of them shared water. Restrooms need some repair (guess they were phasing them out for the pay shower) We are trying to make our way through all the state parks in Oklahoma and it looks like with budget cuts this will be easy. (less parks to go to) FYI. we only go to State parks or Federal parks...

It might have been timing but the dump station was not accessible, the restrooms near the RV sites were quite dingy with no hot water. The actual parking sites back up to a major road and not all have access to water and power unto have a really long hose and or extension cord. It was also tricky getting level. The lake was small but nice with no maintained swimming area. We didn’t feel particularly safe there and the park wasn’t very clean. We stayed one night and found a place that wasn’t as picturesque but had level sites and full hookups. When we asked about the dump station and other things the reply was “welcome to...
