So this was the worst experience. A normally 45 minute drive took over 2 hours because it's one lane in front of the farm. There are no cops directing traffic outside, only inside the farm for parking... so inevitably people are cutting. I literally had to get out of our car and block cutters with my body because I couldn't handle it anymore. We didn't move for 40 minutes and we were 20 yards from the entrance. Cars started just parking along the 105 shoulder which is extremely unsafe with all the traffic and children around. That should have been a warning that they were WAY over capacity, but we waited so long and I convinced myself that it's because they were policing capacity so it was enjoyable inside the park. NO!
We were in the park for 2.5 hours and we left without a pumpkin, without eating food or snacks, without riding any rides or doing any of the activities other than the short corn maze and a slide. The lines aren't long. They are LOOOOOOOONG. The shortest line was for a port-a-potty and that was a solid 15 minutes. We waited over 45 minutes to order food and when we reached what seemed like it should only take 5 more minutes to be able to place our order, turned into another 20+ minutes. The line just stopped. It took us 8 minutes to get out of there and to a restaurant with good food and fast service. I'm a breastfeeding mom - waiting over an hour for food is not an option.
If you have a baby, there is one changing table and it looks like something dug out of a free junk pile left out in the weather for months. I should have taken a picture. AND no I'm not a germaphobe, but it was bothersome considering this a family experience and heavily marketed to new families.
My recommendation is don't go unless you have a large family to help you cut all of the lines by holding places while you go enjoy things. If you're a small family household, this is not going to be a pleasant experience.
The corn maze is like a cattle chute with everyone but stopping with 10 people and blocking any movement and selfies everywhere you look so you will not have a moment with your family to enjoy the concept of a corn maze.
All that said, I'm very disappointed because the marketing got me. The images are so picturesque of a quaint family farm experience, but was a $16 entrance fee to a sea of people, long lines for food and activities and EVERYTHING is run by children, probably free labor. Also, there are signs about no smoking, no vaping etc, but workers or family were right behind the building near the port-a-potty lines just smoking cigarettes right in front of me and my baby.
Also, side note that I noticed about the website that really didn't sit well with me. I went to purchase my tickets online for the marketed $3 cheaper price, which is bullspit because the processing fee per ticket is 2.10 so you're saving .90¢.... ANYHOW I put a quantity of 2 tickets and put in my payment information. I scrolled through all of the warnings about NO REFUNDS and my quantity was automatically changed to 4! I only noticed because the total was over $50. I scrolled back up and updated it to 2 only and hit next. There is no confirmation page for your purchase so if you don't pay extra attention you will be charged double and guess what?! NO REFUNDS!
I feel bad because I want to give the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to put blinders on and just focus on the good parts, but other than a couple pictures, I didn't enjoy it at all. I want to shake it off, leave this review on a positive note highlighting some silver lining in my day yesterday, but then I remembered how heavily marketed this thing was all over Facebook, Instagram etc - this was intentional to get as many people as possible to attend and they are not equipped to handle this level of growth. I feel like this was very irresponsible and selfish, which lead to my family's severe disappointment. We paid $16.05 (x2) for a lesson learned. We will NOT be returning and I will discourage family and friends from...

Positive: Really fun time with the family. Lots of stuff to do, you can spend most of the day here and find different things to do. There are many places to take pictures. Most people are responsible and respectful. The staff is good enough. They also help you take family pictures. There is a lot of free stuff to do (included with the tickets)
Negative: Not enough rides for the amount of people that come (or just rides too small). They could invest in bigger rides, this is the second year I come and nothing has changed. Which is why there’s long lines.
Ticket price for adult is about $26 which is reasonable. But there is no options for kids, if they are 3 year and older they need to pay regular adult price. Why no kid tickets..?
My biggest disappointment was the food. My kids and I were hungry and so we decided to see the sort of grill place that they had in the center. The food was extremely expensive. $14 for hamburgers, $12 sausage on stick, $16 BBQ sandwich (all individually priced). I immediately went back to our picnic table and told my wife that it was not happening because how unreasonable it was.
As we were just eating some snacks that we brought in the park, a family sat right next to us. They started eating a grilled cheese ($11) from the same food place we had checked. Within a few bites, they started complaining that the grilled cheese was greasy and definitely not worth the price. Which I was agreeing in my mind and very glad I didn’t buy anything from there.
Another food issue was that we went to get an ice cream in the store at the end of the park near the corn field. The freezer was 80% empty, only left was some ice cream sandwich which we had to settle for. Again, the price was $4 for a little vanilla sandwich. You can go to the store and buy 12 of those for less than $4. I understand that they need to make money but is it reasonable to sell a product 12x the cost??
Unfortunately, people are going to end up buying food for them or their kids. The park obviously knows this and chooses to charge a lot. This creates distrust and poor customer experience.
If they could fix their food issue and get either more or bigger rides this would be a 5 star. We shall see next year!
PS: it would also be a great idea to get more shade space. There is a lot of some for open fields but not enough shadows. So most of the time you end up being burned with the sunlight. You need to wait in line in the sun with no protection. Why not include a few umbrellas or inexpensive covers? Especially since there is a lot of people, you end up waiting for a long...
Read moreWe went to P-6 Farms today for the first time and it was a great experience! When we arrived, parking attendants directed us to our parking spot. We arrived thirty minutes after arriving and it was the perfect time (end of May).
They have a variety of actual kids' activities. Some other similar farms only have a couple of kids' attractions and this one is not like those at all. All of the attractions could use some paint and updating, but kids don't notice those type of needs so it doesn't matter to them. There are teenagers who oversee each ride and attraction. Again, at some of the other places we've been, they were a bit apathetic and didn't seem involved. Here, they were polite, bantered with us, and were responsible. There are height requirements for all rides for safety purposes.
Their animal station is a few workers holding the animals for customers to pet. One reviewer was mad about this setup. I appreciated it since I've been to some farms where customers chased baby goats around with no supervision and the animals look terrorized.
There were food options as well as ice cream. There are photo opps everywhere...but beware, the people that dressed up to take pictures (and specifically women in uncomfortable shoes) looked miserable walking all over the property in the heat. It would be good to bring a change of clothes. This is a place to wear comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for walking far distances. Another tip: Don't cut sunflowers or pick berries until the end of your trip. We watched families have to carry buckets of berries everywhere and they seemed miserable. Also, we cut sunflowers halfway through our visit and the started wilting after we cut them from their stems. They were also a challenge to carry around too. Last, there are not real bathrooms, only port-a-potties. There were clean for the most part and staff manning the maintenance which we appreciated.
Note the hours are until 1pm and traffic wasn't bad at all. We will...
