Beautiful trail that took us about 30 minutes up and 30 minutes back down. It's dog friendly and we saw about 10 or so people today. It's spring and the ground was a little frozen last night but began thawing as we began our hike and by the end it was fairly muddy but I believe it won't stay muddy once it gets warmer as there is no more snow melting. The view at the top is spectacular and it has a park style bench facing the view west over Williston, Shelburne, South Burlington, Charlotte and Lake Champlain. It's a great trail that wasn't too difficult and would be fine for children. It had about a 20 car parking lot. I have been wanting to hike/walk around 5 tree hill which is very close to this but I was told by some friends that Sucker Brook is a better hike and after the great experience I had today I believe them. All in all it was a great experience and we will be hiking there again soon!

Great hike of a little over an hour: mostly hills on the way up to a beautiful clearing with a awesome view of the Champlain Valley. The entrance is not marked well. If you’re coming from the north, look for the driveway in the wooded section after Leclair Drive. The parking lot holds about 10 cars: much more than the nearby Five Trees lot, which shares the same outlook as a destination. Most of the hike goes through private land, which is an active logging forest. Some of the yellow blazes can be hard to see. If you ever feel you’re on a logging road, turn back and look for the trail. After a rain this trail can get quite muddy. It took about 1.5 hours at a leisurely pace.

I really enjoyed this hiking trail. The town of Williston clearly does a great job with the upkeep. The view at the top is beautiful. I did see three people on the trail with their dogs off leash but they were friendly dogs and each owner warned me ( one lady even asked me if I was ok with it). I love dogs and did not mind but other people might care. There was plenty of spots to rest if needed but the trail isnt difficult. The trail is clearly marked and visible so it's very easy to navigate.

Quick summary: Easy trail, bit muddy, add a star if you wanted an easier trail. View is ok, but not amazing

This is an ok trail. It's not bad, but not great. The pros, it's an easy trail to get up and down in two hours if you're fast. The slope is manageable even if you don't exercise.

The downside, the view is just ok. Better than a hill, but not the best. The thing that really dropped a star for me was that it was not clearly marked which direction the summit was and with leaves on the ground the trail was simply not visible at times. There are multiple splits, which makes this all the more annoying.

Trail was muddy in many spots once halfway...
